Corinne Thalmann plays Lucy Walker

The Bernese actress Corinne Thalmann will play the main part of Lucy Walker in the world premiere of the open-air theatre Zermatt in 2019.
In 2017 she was in charge of the director's assistance for the production «Romeo and Juliet at the Gornergrat». During the shooting of MATTERHORN: NO LADIES PLEASE! the following happened:
Due to the fact that the main part of Lucy Walker had not been cast yet, Corinne Thalmann helped out as Lucy Walker and immediately felt at ease with doing so. Subsequently, director Livia Anne Richard offered her the main part of Lucy Walker.

Already as a teenager Corinne Thalmann had fallen for theatre. But first she decided to learn something «safe»: After she had finished vocational business school she worked as commercial employee for several companies. But she always subordinated her commercial job to her passion for theatre.
She was part of several youth clubs, theatre clubs and was cast for the «Theater Gurten» – for the first time in 2006 for the play «Dällebach Kari».
But soon she recognized that she wanted to make a living from her passion. In 2009 she moved to Berlin and attended drama school («Schauspielschule Charlottenburg»). During and after her education she was part of several productions in Berlin and on tour, e.g. «hamlet.die größte fresse von dänemark», as Queen Elisabeth in «Don Carlos» and as Holy Ghost in «Krach im Hause Gott». In 2014 she returned to Bern to be part of the «Theater Gurten» production of «Paradies». In 2016 she played Daisy in «Die Nashörner» and at the same time became artistic director of the «Theater Matte» (Bern).
